As Thomson Broadbent continues to grow during its 30th year, we’re delighted to welcome two new members of staff to the business.
Laura Dike has joined us as Consents Officer and Property Inspector, while Esme Higgins has been appointed Client Success Coordinator, strengthening both our consents and client support teams as demand for our services continues to increase across the UK.
Laura joined the business after completing a law degree at the University of Leicester and gaining experience as a legal assistant. In her role, she supports clients through the process of securing agreements relating to electricity infrastructure on private land, working across both low and high voltage projects.
Speaking about joining the team, Laura said: “I was looking for a career change and the opportunity to do something on a bigger scale where I could make an impact.
“What attracted me to Thomson Broadbent was the fact that I can still use the skills and knowledge from my legal background, but in a role that’s so varied and interesting.
“Everyone has been incredibly welcoming and supportive. It’s great knowing that you’re helping people and making a difference.”
Esme joined Thomson Broadbent after working for a basketball charity, where she coordinated bookings, events and social media. Looking for a role that offered greater flexibility around family life, she was attracted by the opportunity to join a growing local business while continuing to build her career.
Working closely with clients throughout their journey, Esme helps to progress cases, provide support and ensure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
She said: “I’ve been here for nearly a month now and everyone has been so welcoming and helpful.
“My husband works away quite a lot, so finding a role that offered flexibility around our two children was really important to me. This role has been perfect for that.
“I’m really enjoying being back in an office environment and working with people again. Every day is different and it’s rewarding being able to help clients and move cases forward.”
Thom Parker-Marrs, Director at Thomson Broadbent, said: “Over the past 30 years we’ve built our reputation on combining specialist expertise with genuinely personal service, so bringing the right people into the business is incredibly important to us.
“Laura and Esme have both made a fantastic start. They bring different skills, experiences and perspectives to the team, but what they have in common is a real desire to help our clients.
“As demand for our services continues to grow, it’s great to be able to invest in talented people and create new opportunities within the business.”
As we continue to grow, we’re committed to investing in talented people who share our values and our dedication to delivering outstanding service for every client. We’re delighted to welcome Laura and Esme to the team and look forward to seeing them continue to develop within the business.
