High Voltage FAQs

Find answers to your questions about high voltage cables on your property, including how to open a case, potential compensation, and the impact on your land.

This depends on whether the new agreement is a wayleave or an easement. Many wayleaves typically take as little as 6 months to complete and easements typically take 12-24 months depending on the DNO.

An easement is a permenant right that will be recorded in the property deeds and be binding on future owners. A wayleave is an annual or fixed term agreement and expires either at the end of the term or a change in ownership.

This depends on several factors, such as, the type of agreement, the type of equipment and the value of your property. Each case is individually assessed but, most clients receive between £750 and £30,000. The highest we have settled is over £1million!
