Mid Sussex Council needed to build more houses to meet local demand and decided to expand Haywards Heath and the outcome of this was to build a new village on a greenfield site to the southwest of the town. Part of this contract was to build a new road to relieve traffic from the town centre by taking it around the southern edge of the town and the Haywards Heath Road was subsequently built between 2000 and 2015.
Thomson Broadbent represented clients on section 6 of the new road which is between the Highbank Roundabout and the Sandrocks Roundabout and is an extension of Rocky Lane. Thomson Broadbent successfully argued that the physical factors from the new road affected our client’s properties and TB achieved a 100% success rate in these claims.
